Δn =0,008665 а.е.м
Δ(21Ne10)=-0,006151 а.е.м.
Δ(20Ne10)=-0,007560 а.е.м.

Objective 1: to Determine by using a table of values of
masses of nuclides
a) the binding energy of the neutron and α-nuclei 21Ne10;
b) the energy required to separate nucleus 16О8 for four
identical particles.
For solving problems on this topic we recall notation. - X (nuclide), containing A nucleons and Z protons, is referred to as AX Z. For the energy of the nucleus AX Z received designation Eсв(AXZ ), and for excess weight –
∆ (AXZ). Excess weight ∆(AXZ) nuclide AX Z is the
difference (М(AXZ) – А), where М(AXZ) - the observed
mass of the nucleus, A – integer atomic mass units (a.e.m.), match - AXZ. All values: Eсв(AXZ), ∆(AXZ), М(AXZ) and are measured in а.e.m. Energy Eсв(AXZ) nuсleus AXZ will be determined by the formula Eсв(AXZ)=Z∆H+(A-Z)∆n–∆(AXZ), where ∆H=0,007825
а.е.m. and ∆n=0,008665а.е.m. - the excess mass of the hydrogen atom and neutron, respectively. A solution of 1A(n). The magnitude of the binding energy of 21 Ne10 is determined by a strong interaction of twenty-one nucleon in the nucleus 21Ne10. Separating one neutron, get - 20Ne10 with energy Eсв(20Ne10). Thus, the binding energy of the neutron in the nucleus 21Ne10 will be equal to the difference of binding energy of the nucleus 21Ne10 will be equal to the difference of binding energy of the nucleus 21Ne10 and nucleus 20Ne10: Eсв(n)=Есв(21Ne10)- Eсв(20Ne10),(1а), where Есв(21Ne10) and Eсв(20Ne10) expressed in terms of the excess mass of the proton, neutron and nuclei 21Ne10 and 20Ne10:Есв(21Ne10)=10∆H+11∆n–∆(21Ne10), Eсв(20Ne10)=10∆H+10∆n–∆(20Ne10) (2а)
Substitute equations (2a) into (1a) we find the binding energy of one nucleon in the nucleus 21Ne10: Eсв(n)=Δn–
[Δ(21Ne10)–Δ(20Ne10) ] (3а). The numerical values for the
excess mass of the neutron Δn, kernel Δ(21Ne10) and
kernel Δ(20Ne10)
Δn =0,008665 а.е.m
Δ(21Ne10)=-0,006151 а.е.m.
Δ(20Ne10)=-0,007560 а.е.m. (4а) take from the table.
Using the relations (4a) get the numerical value of the
binding energy of a neutron in the nucleus 21Ne10:
Eсв(n)=0,007256 а.е.m. (5а). Energy Eсв(n), measured in
MeV, is equal to: Eсв(n)=0,007256 931,494=6,759 МэВ.
(6а). Answer: the binding Energy of a neutron in the
nucleus 21Ne10 equals: Eсв(n)= 6,759 МeV. And also you
can get the solution 1а(α-particle). Energy α-particle in
kernel 21Ne10 equals Eсв(α)=7,348 МeV.
